Rob Johnson

Hi, I’m Rob. I was a PhD student in Professor Michael Stumpf‘s group from 2012 to 2016.

I spent a year working with Dr Paul Kirk on a C-based nested sampling application for systems biologists. Nested sampling (Skilling, 2004) is an algorithm that performs parameter inference and model selection, and our software is available here.

I explored various methods for modelling noisy systems, including at the population level with the finite state projection, and in terms of its propagation, using the linear noise approximation and the unscented transform.
