Oleg Lenive

I am a BBSRC funded PhD student jointly supervised by Prof Michael Stumpf and Dr J Krishnan from the Department of Chemical Engineering. I obtained a BA and an M.Sci in biochemistry from the University of Cambridge. As part of my masters course I worked on a project investigating T-helper cell differentiation using RNA-seq in Dr Sarah Teichmann’s group at the LMB.

My PhD work is based on the application of ideas from information theory to the modelling of biomolecular processes in the presence of intrinsic and/or extrinsic noise. In particular, I am focusing on prokaryotic gene expression and two-component signalling systems.
